[Tutorial] Custom NDS VC layouts

Editing the layout of the NDS screens of the VC is actually quite trivial. I reccomend you first open Paint.net of Photoshop and design your layout there. The TV resolution is 1280x720 and the DRC (GamePad) resolution is 876x480.

I Picked SM3DW, And worked, so, i want to share with you this. :^)

1.-MAKE A COPY OF THE BFSTM YOU WANT TO MODIFY
Sounds silly, but if you want to recover you BFSTM

2.-Check where is Sound data in you Wii U Game
For example, In Mario 3D World:
sd:/wiiu/games/Mario 3D World/content/SoundData/stream/Redc_bgm_Athletic.k.32.dspadpcm.bfstm
I picked Redc_bgm_Athletic.k.32.dspadpcm.bfstm, so, i remplaced with Diggersby Land (Pokkén)
MAKE SURE TO RENAME WITH THE SAME NAME...

I made a thread on this in the Hacking section, but it felt more like a tutorial to me.
That's why I'm reposting it here.

INSTRUCTIONS:
1.) You'll have to find the patch, since I'm not sure if it's legal (hint: romhack) and then use XDELTA (UI version is recommended if you're not comfortable with command line) to apply it to your own ROM.

2.) Rename the ROM to whatever (mine was phantomdpad.nds), use a zipping program to zip it and then rename the resulting .zip...

Haven't seen it done anywhere else, so I thought why not make a tutorial on how to get custom music in Splatoon, this hack should be safe since you don't alter anything except for the music.



Steps:

  1. Copy MusicRandomizer.exe from the .zip to an empty folder on your computer.
  2. Double click MusicRandomizer.exe to start it.
  3. Import your music files and choose when they should play.

Hey all!
Just did this myself and wanted to share it with you all. Basically, you can rip and (re)mix your own Hyrule Warriors soundtrack with a few simple tools. Each song is split into separate tracks and each track has several alternative tracks, so you can mix your own combinations of each. Heck, you could even use tracks from other songs if you wanted.
Audiophiles will like this too since each output file is 48KHz PCM which is far better than the gamepad-recorded stuff you...

So I made this quick tutorial for injecting a Loadiine save file to Wii U memory using Saviine:

For the game Zelda TP HD (as an exemple):
-Install the game on your USB HDD using WUPInstaller
-Launch the game (important!) to create a save file to the Wii U memory.
-Quit the game
-On PC, download Saviine and start dump.bat (saviine1.1b\server\dump.bat) and close it just after. (It will create a folder saviine_root )
-In this "saviine_root" folder, create a "inject" folder. And inside this...

Hi guys,

I used the repack method described here : https://gbatemp.net/threads/a-complete-rednand-guide.446878/

My constat :
- works fine with game who dont have any update available (i only tried to repack US content to EU)
- dont work with game update (even you repack also the game update with this method)

With an updated game (normal or repacked update), he just wont boot or freeze.

My solution (used with Olli Olli US) :

1- Download Olli Olli US with his ticket...

Just to keep myself safe from blame...
PLEASE DO NOT ATTEMPT THIS UNLESS YOU KNOW WHAT YOU ARE DOING

I decided to just make a new thread dedicated to everything I've modified and created to have a "custom title" on sysNAND that launches redNAND
It makes use of Haxchi, a DS VC exploit originally released by @smealum and then modified by @FIX94 to launch HBL and work for other games.

I originally started this guide on github for my personal use since I found it a little bit annoying having to go through multiple guides in order to have my WiiUs ready for use (yes I have multiple WiiUs don't ask why), so I compiled and uploaded every file necessary and included all the steps related to “How to use”, starting with setting Rednand or Sysnand with iosuhax, region free the console and finally how to install games, updates and dlc.

I have tested everything there so I'm sure...
